Demolition of 1 no masonry pier adjoined to a vehicular entrance at the junction of Portland Road and South Place and retention permission for construction of a minipillar inside the boundary to house a gas meter and ESB meter. The applicants also seek permission for the demolition of 1 no existing masonry pier at the same vehicular entrance and the subsequent construction of 2 masonry gate piers to match existing in style and height, new piers to be set back within the existing boundary, restoration and replacement (as required) of the existing policy fence with new hedge planting and 1.5m high security fence inside existing policy fencing to Portland Road boundary and South Place boundary and the removal of a portion of the existing policy fence on the Portland Road boundary and subsequent construction of a pedestrian entrance with adjoining masonry gate piers to match vehicular entrance gate piers in style and proportion and associated works to roadside boundary. This application also seeks permission modifications to a previous planning permission granted under 16/1403. The modifications include the addition of solar panels on two west facing roof slopes and the addition of a window at ground floor level on the side (west elevation). This application is subsequent to a previously approved application of a remodel & extension of existing house under planning file reference 16/1403
