Permission for an extension and refurbishment of the existing Wexford Swimming Pool and Leisure Centre, Tincone, Ferrybank, Co. Wexford, Y35 Y184, comprising: (a) a two-storey extension (gross floor area c. 561 sqm) to the existing gymnasium providing expanded fitness facilities, associated support spaces, administrative offices, staff facilities and a meeting/multi-purpose room; (b) a double-height extension (gross floor area c. 1,324 sqm) providing a new eight-lane, 25-metre swimming pool, a plant room and associated pool support facilities; (c) alterations and extensions to the existing entrance lobby and internal circulation, including the relocation of the principal stair core; (d) the internal reconfiguration and refurbishment of the existing leisure centre, including the conversion of the existing swimming pool into a dedicated learner pool, the provision of new accessible and group changing facilities, wellness facilities including a sauna and steam room, associated ancillary facilities, together with additional plant space and an exercise studio (additional gross floor area c. 207 sqm); (e) the reconfiguration and extension of the existing car parking areas, including accessible parking spaces, EV charging infrastructure, bicycle parking, revised set-down facilities and a dedicated two-way access route serving the existing caravan park; (f) hard and soft landscaping, boundary treatments, ecologically sensitive public lighting, roof mounted PV cells, associated drainage infrastructure, the provision of a freestanding double-sided totem sign, and all associated site development and ancillary works.
