RED III Application Permission for the construction of an enlarged Solar PV energy development, increased in size to 2.4MW from the 1.53MW Solar PV energy development granted under Planning Reference 20220383. The Solar PV energy development is located to the west of the attendant grounds of Monart Destination Spa and will comprise of the installation of 2,399 kWp solar photovoltaic (PV) panels on ground mounted frames/support structures within existing field boundaries on site size of c7.3 ha, and including all associated works as previously granted under Planning Reference 20220383. The operational lifespan of the solar PV development will be 35 years, and a 10 year planning permission is being sought. This development is covered by the provisions of the Renewable Energy Directive III (Directive (EU) 2023/2413) and it is important to note that the planning application may be subject to section 34D of the Planning and Development Act, as amended. When a notice issues in accordance with section 34D(b), the provisions of article 26A of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 to 2025 shall apply
