RED III Application - A notice has been given under paragraph (a) of section 34D of the Planning & Development Act 2000 (as amended). A 10-year permission for a solar farm development on a site of c. 55.95 ha. The site comprises two parcels of land linked by the L1029, L1027 and L1028. The proposals comprise of solar panels on ground mounted frames. Six transformer stations are proposed, three on each parcel. Underground cabling is proposed through a section of the L1028 and the existing farm access within the western parcel, and sections through the L1029 and L1027 within the eastern parcel. Access tracks through the site are proposed as well as security fencing and CCTV. Limited hedgerow removal is required to facilitate access. The western parcel of land will be accessed from the L1028 through an existing farm access. The eastern parcel of land will be accessed from the L1029 through an existing field access. A landscaping plan is proposed to ensure the site is well screened. And all associated works. The application seeks a 10-year permission and an operational lifespan of 40 years for the solar farm once commissioned. At Toberanierin Lower, Raheen, Toberanierin Upper, Clonmore, Mountforest, Tomcoyle, Brackernagh and Ballinamona, Gorey, Co. Wexford. The development is covered by the provisions of the Renewable Energy Directive III (Directive (EU) 2023/2413) and it is important to note that the planning application may be subject to section 34D of the Planning and Development Act 2000, as amended. When a notice issues in accordance with section 34D(b), the provisions of Article 26A of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 to 2025 shall apply
