Permission for retention to rectify unauthorised works to include the cutting back of the existing ditch and planting with a laurel hedge, temporary access gate for construction phase, stock piles of stone and topsoil, installation of haul road, placing rock armour to river bank edge, culverting of exiting open drain with a 300mm UpVC pipe, preparing an area adjacent to river bank for the purpose of flooding, excavation of ground level, installation of silt trap soil barrier/bund and all associated site works. The laurel hedge shall be removed and the ditch replanted with a native plant/hedge and tree. The existing access is temporary and to facilitate construction phase only and shall be closed on completion. The rock armour was placed onto the river bank to protect the river bank from erosion after fallen trees. The stone and top soil stock piles shall be used during the construction phase. A flood plain was created to assist with downstream flooding. An impact assessment is submitted with the application. The site area outlined in red within the planning documents is the area for which the permission for retention is sought with all associated site works
