Proposal description

Modifications to development permitted under planning reference 17/600336 for alterations and extensions to, and refurbishment of the Cashel Palace Hotel, including demolition works. The proposed modifications will result in a reduction in the permitted number of bedrooms from 61 to 45; a reduction in the permitted new floor area from c.4,620 sq m to c. 3,475 sq m; the relocation of, change in layout and change to the elevation treatment of the proposed function room; the relocation of, change in layout and change to the elevation treatment of the proposed spa/leisure centre; change to the elevation treatment of the proposed new bedroom block; a change of proposed use of the coach house form general use, to ancillary office use; amendments to the landscaping plan; amendments to proposals for the treatment of boundary walls; and amendments to ancillary works. The works will be carried out within the curtilage of the following 6 structures on the Record of Protected Structures of the Cashel and Environs Development Plan 2009-2015:RPS Ref 7 (Cashel Town Walls);RPS Ref 8(Cashel Palace Hotel); RPS Ref 44 (P and T post box);RPS Ref 80( Palace School House);RPS Ref 81(Cashel Palace Gate Lodge) and RPS Ref 83 (M. Ryan's)and include works to 3 of these protected structures(RPS Refs.8, 80 and 81.
