Modifications and proposed alterations to the existing Convention Centre permitted under Planning Register Reference SD07A/0294; Retention permission is sought for full height extension on northeast (rear) side of the building accommodating toilets, store rooms, plant / boiler rooms and covered external areas at the rear; service lift on northeast (rear) side of building adjoining the full height structure; full height extension on northwest (golf course) side of the building to accommodate extended entrance, event control centre, offices and substation; external balcony at first and second floor level on northwest side (golf course) of the building; 2 x external fire escape stairs from this first floor balcony to ground level on northwest (golf course) side; fire tender / service access road; air conditioning unit. Permission is sought for alterations to the existing service yard compound to provide a new asphalt surface and a new water storage tank within the compound. Part of the site is located within the curtilage of a Protected Structure (Tassagart House).
