PERMISSION for development at the Former Summerhill College, Circular Road, Sligo, F91 YY30, bounded to the west by Ray McSharry Road. The property is a Protected Structure Ref. No. 29 SE and is adjacent to the curtilage of other Protected Structures Ref. Nos. 35 SE, 181 SE, 182 SE and 183 SE. The proposed development will consist of the following: (1) Change of use from a former educational institution incorporating teaching accommodation, residential dormitory accommodation and associated ancillary facilities to student accommodation, including associated communal, study, amenity and ancillary facilities. (2) Material alterations to the interior of the premises to facilitate the proposed change of use, including removal of modern internal partitions, ceilings and redundant services. (3) Formation of student bedroom accommodation, including ensuite and mezzanine accommodation, together with associated communal, study, social and ancillary spaces and associated services. (4) Installation of a new internal accessible lift together with associated localised works.
