Proposal description

1. Removal of existing prefab classroom and prefab office plus demolition of existing boiler house and single staircase. 2. Construction of a three storey extension (1,243sq. m) with metal pitched roof and roof lights comprising classrooms, new stairs, offices, new boiler room, stores & ancillary accommodation to south of existing main school building; construction of new stand alone two-storey PE hall (634sq. m) with metal pitched roof located on the north east corner of the school site; construction of a new single storey extension with roof lights (80 sq. m) to west of the existing metalwork room and adjacent store; the provision of 4 temporary classrooms and temporary parking and site stroage behind (to west of) existing building on the west campus. 3. Redevelopment of existing school building including conversion of existing general purpose hall to provide music room and dining/kitchen/servery including two new doors to existing west elevation and 1 door to south elevation; reorganisation of existing woodworking/construction studies rooms to include raising height of existing single storey roof and provision of new roof lights. 4. Site works including the removal of 2 no. pre-fabricated buildings, removal of one ball court, reorganisation of roadway and vehicular movement within school boudnaries, provision of new ESB substation, restructuring of parking provision to provide 41 parking spaces including 2 disabled spaces, bicycle parking frames, provision of new steps and disabled access ramp, general landscaping, repair/reinstatement of existing south boundary, extension of existing oil storage tank, provision of new playing pitch adjacent to PE hall. Site works to include site set up/hoarding and temporary construction entrances off Dublin/Carrickmacross Road. 5. The works will be carried out in two phases.
