Change of use from former use as a Car Service & Repair facility to a Waste Transfer and Recycling Facility for Ferrous & Non-Ferrous Metals and all associated site development works, and will involve the collection of scrap metal, sorting into separate metal types, some cutting and bending of oversize metal pieces, collection of scrap electrical and electronic wiring, mechanical stripping of the insulated cover from the wiring, separation of the insulated cover from the stripped metal/wire, packing of individual metal types into shipping bags or containers or on to pallets, short-term / temporary storage of metals to allow accumulation of economic loads, loading of packed metals on transport vehicles, dispatch of metals for recovery at the appropriately licensed off-site locations, short-term / temporary storage of stripped insulated covering while awaiting removal from site for recovery or disposal at appropriately licensed off-site facilities. Access and egress will be via existing permitted entrance off Proudstown Road
