Mayo, within the curtilage of a protected structure, being the Convent of the Immaculate Conception, Reg No 31204001, listed as a protected structure on the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage (NIAH) for the following: a) Construction of a three (3) storey over basement , one hundred and four (104) bed nursing home and ancillary rooms along with associated access roads, parking areas, green areas, footpaths, boundaries and services. b) Permission to use existing entrance of the Convent of the Immaculate Conception, McDermott St, Ballina, Co Mayo, to provide main access route to the Nursing Home and parking areas. c) Permission to use existing entrance located at Convent Hill, Ballina, Co. Mayo to provide secondary access, setdown, services and parking to the proposed nursing home and access areas.
