The proposed development consists of: One temporary for a period of three years, 100m high cable stayed triangular steel lattice tower meteorological mast fixed upon a wooden sleeper base of 2.4m x 2.4m; One lightning finial fitted to the higher level of the mast; One anti-climb device fitted to the lower level of the mast; 12 no. buried ground anchors located within three ‘lanes’ at 21m, 42m, 56m and 60m radii from the mast base; Meteorological instrumentation for measuring local climate conditions fixed to the meteorological mast including but not limited to: anemometers, wind vanes, temperature & pressure sensors; Shelter box with data logger and 100W photovoltaic panel fitted to the lower level of the mast; Bird flight deterrents discs fitted to each guy wire at approximately 10m intervals; Obstacle warning light fitted to the higher level of the mast; All associated infrastructure and ancillary works. A Natura Impact Statement has been prepared and will be submitted with the planning application.
