The proposed development includes; the removal of the existing partition wall between the former Tesco retail unit and existing Penney's retail unit, the removal of internal partitions to existing Penney's retail unit for the provision of a new internal partition through both the existing and amalgamated Penney's retail areas to accommodate a new ancillary office, administration and staff rooms; works to the existing roof structure of the former Tesco retail unit to remove asbestos sheeting and replace this with new profiled metal deck and insulation to match the existing Penney's roof structure. Permission for the removal of 2 no. existing former Tesco shopfront entrances within the Shannon Mall for replacement with new frameless glazing to match the existing Penney's shopfront, removal of existing externally mounted former Tesco signage to the northwest elevation of the Crescent Shopping Centre, installation of a new externally mounted metal cage to accommodate an air conditioning unit on the northwest elevation of the Crescent Shopping Centre to serve Penney's unit, along with the provision of 2 no. externally mounted ventilation louvres to the northwest elevation of the Crescent Shopping Centre to serve Penney's unit, removal of an existing loading dock to the northeast elevation of the Crescent Shopping Centre, removal of existing emergency exit door and external staircase to the northeast elevation of Crescent Shopping Centre, construction of new emergency exit doors and external staircase on the northeast elevation of Crescent Shopping Centre to serve Penney's unit and all associated site development and enabling works
