Proposal description

Alter previously permitted wind farm development (Planning Register References 14/139 (Laois), 14/202 & 15/629 (Kilkenny) and 14/510138 & 15/600924 (Tipperary)) where the permitted development also extends into the townlands of Bruckana, Baunmore and Rathpatrick, County Kilkenny and Killoran near Templetuohy, County Tipperary. The proposed alterations will consist of: increasing the turbine rotor diameter of the two permitted turbines from a maximum of 113m to a maximum of 136m, while maintaining the overall tip height of up to 156m per the permitted development. A ten-year permission is sought. The application is accompanied by a Natura Impact Statement, Planning Report and Environmental Considerations Report. Lisheen III Wind Farm Limited also intends to apply to Kilkenny County Council for planning permission for development at Bruckana, Baunmore, Rathpatrick, County Kilkenny.
