Proposal description

For the following development, a Protected Structure (ref. no D59- in the Kilkenny City and County Development Plan 2021-2027/NIAH Ref no. 12319006): a) Demolition of one no. flat roof, concrete extension to the rear of the building and one no. lean-to extension to the rear of the building. b)Construction of a part single-storey, part two-storey 125m2 extension to the rear of the property. c) Change of use of the building from derelict creamery building to a mixed-use development consisting of short-term tourist accommodation, multi-purpose communal spaces and one no. private apartment. d) Internal alterations, formation of new openings to the rear of the existing building and the installation of new windows and doors. e) New vehicular entrance from the R698 public road. f) Provision of bicycle parking and 11 No. car parking spaces including 4 No. EV charging spaces g) Provision of 14 No. Motorhome Aire spaces and associated facilities. h) Construction of a 36m2 facilities building consisting of toilets, showers and bin store. i) Provision of PV panels to the rear of the existing building. j) Public lighting to car-parking and walkways throughout the site. k) Landscaping and planting throughout the site. l) Site drainage works including surface water infiltration and new on-site wastewater treatment facility. m) Site boundary works to existing and new boundaries.
