For the development which consists of a total area of 24.5 Hectares comprising of the following: (a) Extraction of rock from an area consisting of 6.9 hectares which was previously subject to rock extraction. Rock will be extracted down to a level of 30m above Ordnance Datum which is the floor level of the existing working quarry. (b) Access and stockpiling of raw and finished aggregates on an area consisting of 2.6 hectares, (c) Continuation of use of the existing authorized quarry area and existing quarry infrastructure consisting of crushing, screening and lime plant, office, workshop, canteens and toilet facilities, weighbridges, wheelwash facilities, settlement lagoons, fuel storage area and switch room, ESB sub-station, quarry entrance, haul roads and all other ancillary facilities, (d) landscaping and restoration of the site and all associated ancillary facilities/works. (e) The applicant is seeking a 5 year permission as part of the planning application. The application is accompanied by an Environmental Impact Statement and a Natura Impact Statement
