Proposal description

Development located at Collinstown, Leixlip, Blakestown, Kellystown, Collinstown Industrial Park, Leixlip, Co. Kildare. The proposed development consists of the construction of link structures with associated plant and equipment, for the conveyance of materials, between existing FAB 10, FAB 14 and FAB 24 manufacturing facilities, as described herein: (1) An elevated link structure located between FAB 10 and FAB 14 manufacturing facilities, sized approximately 350 square metres and approximately 10.5 metres high and located approximately 7 metres above ground, housing plant and equipment, together with roof mounted plant and equipment. (2) An elevated link structure located between FAB 14 and FAB 24 manufacturing facilities, sized approximately 550 square metres and approximately 10.5 metres high and located approximately 7 metres above ground, housing plant and equipment, together with roof mounted plant and equipment. (3) Minor modifications to existing FAB 10, FAB 14 and FAB 24 manufacturing facilities arising from the proposed link structures, including items of plant and roof mounted equipment. This application consists of a variation to a previously permitted development for an activity for which a licence under Part IV of the Environmental Protection Agency Act 1992 (as amended by the Protection of the Environment Act, 2003) is required. This is a site to which the Chemicals Act (Control of Major Accident Hazards Involving Dangerous Substances) Regulations 2015 (S.I. 209 of 2015) applies.
