Consists of the restoration of an eroding and modified portion of the Hartwell River in the townland of Furryhill. The restoration works will establish a new meandering stream channel and connected native woodland riparian buffer. The works are intended to improve instream habitat, enhance the riparian corridor and improve water quality. Works to construct the new channel will be carried out in the dry and on a phased basis. The proposed works include the following: 1. The construction of approximately 960m of new restored stream channels and riparian buffer; 2. 2 no. new agricultural crossings; 3. Establishment of native broadleaf woodland up to 4.56ha; 4. Temporary access for the duration of the works, and all ancillary site works.
