Proposal description

The phased restoration of a sand and gravel pit using imported inert soil and stone and the recovery of inert construction and demolition waste with a lifetime maximum total intake volume of 100,000 tonnes over 10 years operation. The inert waste is classified with the European Waste Catalogue Code of 17 05 04 and will comprise of natural materials of clay, silt, sand, gravel or stone. It is proposed that c. 6,600 tonnes per annum of inert waste will be recovered at the facility. The planning application is submitted with an Environmental Assessment Update and a Natura Impact Statement. The proposed development requires a waste facility permit and a waste permit application has been previously submitted to Kildare County Council in 2014 (WFP-KE-0074-01),
