For development of a licenced Discount Foodstore on part of the former Presentation Secondary School site measuring 0.61 Hectares. The proposed development comprises: The demolition of a later extension to the original school building and freestanding prefab buildings totaling approximately 649 sqm; the construction of a single storey Discount Foodstore with ancillary off-licence sales measuring 1,920sqm with a net retail sales area of 1,270 sqm; The provision of 2 no. building mounted and 1 no. boundary wall mounted internally illuminated signs, 5 no. externally illuminated poster panel signs and 1 no. trolley bay internally illuminated poster display sign cabinet; The provision of a surface car park comprising 87 no. parking spaces; The upgrading of the existing site entrance for vehicular and pedestrian access to Dublin Street, pedestrian access to the original school building to the rear of the site; and, the provision of boundary treatments, cycle parking, hard and soft landscaping, lighting, connections to drainage and water services and all other ancillary and associated works. This planning application if implemented will supersede /replace development permitted under Reg. Ref. 12/560( which primarily relates to the original school building) as it relates to the subject planning application site area only
