Permission for development which consists of: amendments to plans granted under planning ref. 23/60163, relating to a property known as ‘The Gatehouse’, 7a Francis Street, Galway City. The property is located within the Curtilage of the Convent of Mercy Grounds and Graveyard, which are on the Record of Protected Structures; RPS ref: 9603. This permission primarily relates to amendments which have been deemed as necessary by the Fire officer in order to bring the overall development into compliance with Fire Safety regulations. These proposed works are as follows: (1) Addition of 1 no. external doorway to the front elevation (facing onto Francis Street) at ground floor level (2) Amendments to internal layout. This application also seeks permission for addition of Solar Panels to the Rear of the roof.
