The application site is within the vaulted foundations of the platform building for the former Harcourt Street Railway Station, a protected structure (RPS Ref. 3514: former station roof and facade). The proposed retention permission consists of the change of use of Vault 8 from restaurant to recreational use (gym). The area of unit is 205 sqm in size. The proposal does not alter any existing fabric.
