EXPP: PROTECTED STRUCTURE: Whether the following works at the Iveagh Hostel, Bride Road, Dublin 8 (a protected structure) are or are not exempted development, comprising internal refurbishment of an existing ground-floor bedroom wing (Bedrooms 78-88, Lounge 02, Kitchen 03, Shower Rooms 05/06, Toilets 07/08, Store 04 and Corridor 01) and associated works outlined as follows: (a) Internal fabric strip-out: (i) removal of non-original wall linings and services boxing from internal face of external walls and from one side of existing stud partitions; (ii) removal of existing suspended ceiling grid and tiles; (iii) removal of existing non-original vinyl floor tiling; (b) Internal fabric fit-out: (i) reinstatement of new independent stud lining and plasterboard to walls with sound insulation, fire-stopping and services renewal, minor adjustment of door openings in non-original partitions, and re-tiling of shower rooms/WCs with replacement sanitaryware and vanity units; (ii) installation of new independently-supported suspended ceiling grid and tiles; (iii) replacement of floor finishes throughout; (iv) replacement of internal doors, frames, skirtings and architraves with new fire-rated doorsets and joinery; (v) replacement of kitchenette units and appliances; (vi) redecoration of existing windows, with no alteration to fabric; (c) Mechanical and electrical works: (i) strip-out of existing services and fire/life-safety installations; (ii) renewal of electrical services, emergency lighting, signage and fire alarm installation; (iii) replacement of existing MVHR ductwork, extended to serve 16 no. bedrooms; (iv) replacement of existing heating pipework to existing boiler; (v) renewal of existing MCC panel (basement) and fire alarm panel (main office); replacement of non-original external vent covers with powder-coated covers colour-matched to existing rainwater goods; relining of existing boiler flues with twin-wall flue liner.
