Permission for a 20kV underground grid connection cable in the townlands of Barryscourt, Rossmore and Ballintubbrid West, near Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork. The proposed development is intended to connect the permitted Barryscourt Solar Park (Pl. Ref. 17/4596) to the existing Carrigtwohill 38KV Substation. The Proposed development will consist of: The laying of 20kV underground electrical grid connection (c.2.45km in length), utilising both private lands and public roads, with c.1.157km in the public road (L3619), from the existing Carrigtwohill 38kV substation to the permitted Barryscourt Solar Park (Pl. ref. 17/4596). The proposed development includes all associated site development and site enabling works and ancillary infrastructure, including 5 no. joint bays and 20kV underground ducting and cabling. A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) accompanies this Planning Application.
