Proposal description

Minor alterations to a previously approved planning application. The development will consist/consists of: using the existing weir on the River Foherish it is proposed to construct a small hydropower scheme. This Scheme will comprise of minor repairs to weir, the construction of an intake with screens, a pipeline 280 metres long, a water turbine in a 88.36sq metre house and associated site works including internal access roads. The scheme will produce up to 300kW/h of electricity which will be sold to the national grid.
