Remedial works to rectify and prevent further erosion on the southern river bank at the point at which Ervia’s Cork-Dublin gas transmission pipline crosses beneath the River Blackwater. Permission is sought for: a) modifications to the existing entrance from the public road, b) construction of an access road, c) partial deconstruction of the existing failed armourstone revetment, d) construction of hybrid 'willow spiling' and armourstone revetment, e) reprofiling and revegetation of the river bank, and f) all associated ancillary and temporary site works. A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) will be submitted with the planning application.
