Proposal description

Decommission and remove an existing waste water treatment plant at Whitechurch (permitted under planning reg. no. S/99/4689)and to collect and discharge foul sewage to the existing wastewater treatment plant at Gortavaroon, Whitechurch (permitted under reg. no. 05/1025) by way of a new foul sewer laid below ground through lands and roads at Whitechurch. This proposed sewer will serve the permitted 'Castlecourt' development (planning reg. nos. 00/1238 and 00/0683), the existing 'Castlewhite' and 'The Green' developments and other development lands within the development boundary. The provision of this gravity foul sewer will replace the requirement to construct a foul sewage pumping station and rising main sewer as originally intended by planning permission reg. no. 00/1238 and 00/0683
