Permission for development on a site at No. 6 College View, and the ancillary buildings and car parking area to the rear of No. 5 College View, Crawford House and Killarney House, bounded by Western Road and Mardyke Walk, Cork. The development will consist/consists of: (1) The Removal of the existing surface car park to the rear of Crawford House and Killarney House; the demolition of ancillary structures including: the existing single-storey rear sheds; the existing boundary wall and access gates on Mardyke Walk; and the partial demolition of 1 no. single-storey garage/shed to the rear of No. 5 College View; (2) The change of use of the 3-storey part 4-storey No. 6 college View from 5 no. serviced apartments to 1 no. 5-bed student townhouse; (3) The change of use and conversion of the single-storey garage/shed to the rear of No. 5 College View to accommodate an ESB Meter Room, laundry room, bin store and bike store accommodating 40 no. cycle spaces; (4) The construction of 1 no. 4 storey part 5 storey student apartment scheme, to the rear of Crawford House and Killarney House fronting Mardyke Walk, with a mural on the eastern and western elevations, to include: 120 no. student bedspaces in 21 no. apartments (1 no. 4-bed apartment, 12 no. 5-bed apartments, and 8 no. 7-bed apartments); a ground floor study hub and reception/post room; and internal communal amenity spaces; (5) 3 no. pedestrian accesses from Mardyke Walk, including a new central access with pedestrian gate, steps and platform lift; (6) Modifications to the existing pedestrian access to the east of 6 College View; (7) An external communal landscaped courtyard; 2 no. rooftop terraces; and balcony at 1st floor level; (8) 50 No. cycle spaces; (9) 3 no. car parking spaces; and (10) All site development, landscaping, boundary treatment, lighting, signage, plant, and drainage works.
