Proposal description

Permission for amendments to previously permitted development on this site of 0.22 hectares on lands located at Bridlewood, South Douglas Road, Douglas, Cork. The overall site is bounded to the east by Tramore Lawn and to the west by Rathmore Lawn, which relates to the construction on 119 no. residential units. The proposed development will consist of the following layout amendments to Permission Register Reference 24/42645 (Phase 1 Permission) to include: Reconfiguration of the permitted site layout to facilitate the relocation of 8 no. townhouses known as Townhouse Block C (Nos. 10-17 Bridlewood Drive) approx. 1.46 metres to the east; A new pedestrian laneway to the south and east of the relocated Townhouse Block C to provide rear access from Bridlewood Drive and provision of new access gates from rear gardens of Nos. 12, 15, 16, 19, and 20 Bridlewood Court; Reconfiguration of the permitted courtyard to Townhouse Block C, including the removal of 2 no. car parking spaces; New 14.8sqm garden to the rear of No. 16 Bridlewood Mews; The insertion of 7 no. parallel car parking spaces along the access road to the development to the west of Townhouse Block C, and associated reconfiguration of this access road. This proposed layout reconfiguration will also amend Permission Register Reference 24/42647 (Phase 2 Permission), as the site area overlaps with the boundary of the site area of the Phase 1 Permission (Reg. Ref. 24/42645). This overlap of application boundaries and associated proposed layout amendments is limited to the provision of the car parking spaces along the access road to the development to the west of Townhouse Block C and associated reconfiguration of this access road. No proposed changes are noted in relation to the permitted entrance on South Douglas Road. The amendments will result in a net increase of 5 no. car parking spaces. The proposed development will also consist of hard and soft landscaping; boundary treatments, and all ancillary works and services necessary to facilitate construction and operation.
