Permission for the redevelopment of the site between 36 Lower John Street and Upper John Street, Cork City, the Lower John Street element is adjacent to Nagles Crash Repairs. The proposed development consists of the change of use from commercial to residential, the preservation of existing front façade, demolition of existing buildings/structures and the construction of a residential development consisting of 25 no. apartment units over 6 storeys containing 6 no. 1-bed units and 19 no. 2-bed units (4 no. 2-bed 3 person units and 15 no. 2-bed 4 person units). The proposal seeks to retain the entire front façade on Lower John Street. Permission is also sought for the provision of internal bin storage and internal bin storage providing 60 no. bike parking spaces as well as drainage, plant, landscaping and communal outdoor spaces and all associated site development works. The development is within the curtilage of a Protected Structure.
