Alterations to and extension of Bishopstown Court shopping centre including all ancillary site development works. Permission for Retention is sought for an existing fire escape stairwell and cold store extension. Permission is sought for the alteration and extension of approximately 1,534m2 to the existing shopping centre to allow for the creation of an internal mall to service 2 no. restaurants of 395M2 and 155m2 and 6 no. retail units ranging in size from 69m2 to 187m2 and with a total retail area of 603m2. Internal alterations to the existing shopping centre include the change of use of an existing 380m2 restaurant to comparison retail and its amalgamation within the existing textile area. The proposed development includes changes, alterations and upgrades to the facades, ancillary signage, roof top solar panels and ancillary rooftop plant with an area approximately 48m2. Ancillary site development works include the provision of a new delivery set down area, extension to the existing car park, replacement of the existing totem signs with 2 no. totem signs and provision for pedestrian link to the southern boundary.
