Proposal description

A solar farm consisting of circa 178,600 m2 of solar panels on ground mounted frames, 1 no. single storey 38 kV substation and associated electrical compound with loop in to existing 38kV overhead line on site via 2 no. new timber polesets, 12 no. single storey electrical inverter/transformer stations, battery storage module and associated equipment container, security fencing, satellite pole, CCTV, landscaping and all associated ancillary development works. Construction and operational access will be via an existing entrance from the L-2462. The proposal will be connected to the national grid via the loop-in to existing overhead wires that traverse the site. The operational lifespan of the solar farm will be 35 years.
