Proposal description

Development of retirement village consisting of demolition of annexe to rear and sunroom to front of Island House, demolition of existing detached single storey stables building and detached equestrian building with ancillary stables and stores. Renovations and alterations to Island House internally and construction of a two-storey extension with attic accommodation to the rear (West) consisting of 21no. apartments, and a community facility for the use of the residents only consisting of library, meeting/activity room, medical room, office, caretaker/security room, communal laundry room, gym and staff toilets. Construction of detached two-storey building on the footprint of the existing equestrian centre building consisting of 16 no. apartments. Site works include provision of 45 parking spaces, a 33000 litre sewage pumping station, 569metres of foul sewage rising main to be constructed partly on the R610 public roadway, upgrading of the existing internal road, improvement of entrance at junction with R610, landscaping works and all associated ancillary site works
