Proposal description

To carry out development which will consist of the following: (i) Demolition of the existing dwelling / former guest house on the site. (ii) Construction of a new emergency accommodation building, part three-storey and part two-storey in height, providing temporary accommodation and associated support facilities. (iii) Provision of a new boundary wall, landscaping works, and a children's play area. (iv) Connections to existing site services and all sssociated ancillary site development and enabling works. In accordance with the Habitats Directive and the provisions of Article 250 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended), Appropriate Assessment Screening of the proposed development has been carried out to assess, in view of best scientific knowledge, if the development, individually or in combination with other plans or projects, would be likely to have a significant effect on a European site. It has been detrmined that an Appropriate Assessment is not required in respect of this proposed development. An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) screening determination has been made. It has been determined that there is no real likelihood of significant effects on the environment arising from the proposed development and concluded that an Environmental impact Assessment is not required.
