For alterations and extension to the existing dwelling, consisting of: (A) External alterations to the existing dwelling: Removal of 3 no. chimneys; replacement of the existing slated pitched roof with a standing seam metal roof; replacement of existing flat roofs with pitched metal roofs and gables; and external insulation of the existing dwelling. (B) Internal alterations and reconfiguration: Formation of a master en-suite bedroom in place of the existing kitchen/dining area; bathroom and dressing room in place of the existing living area; removal of the utility room and incorporation of this area into Bedroom 1; replacement of Bedroom 2 with a hall and utility/plant room; replacement of the existing bathroom with a pantry and store; removal of Bedroom 4 to increase the size of Bedroom 3; and conversion of the existing garage to a study. (C) Front / north-western elevation: Replacement of the existing garage door with French doors; upgrade of the flat roof over the front door; and provision of a stone finish around the front door and along the plinth. (D) Left-side / north-eastern elevation: Provision of new windows to the master bedroom and en-suite, and a rooflight to the dressing room. (E) Rear / south-eastern elevation: Provision of new windows to the master bedroom; replacement of the existing back door with a window to Bedroom 2; provision of a rooflight to the bathroom; and removal of the existing rear study door. (F) Right-side / south-western elevation: Replacement of an existing window with a utility door and provision of a rooflight to the hall. (G) Proposed split-level flat-roof extension to the right-side / south-western elevation comprising: At basement level: garage, Bedroom 4 with dressing room, shower room, playroom and hall. At ground-floor level: open-plan kitchen/dining area with staircase. (H) Associated site works: Proposed retaining walls and upgrade of the existing wastewater treatment system and percolation area.
