Permission for development which consists of: The development will consist of a Park & Ride facility comprising a total of 176 car parking spaces, including 133 standard bays, 9 bays for mobility-impaired users (6 standard, 1 for electric vehicles, 1 futureproofed for electric vehicles and 1 large ), 17 bays designated for electric vehicles, and a further 17 bays futureproofed for electric vehicle use. The facility will also include 4 bus bays, passenger shelters and hardstanding area for bike shelters. The layout of the existing roundabout at the junction of Cappagh Road and Western Distributor Road will be relocated approximately 11 metres westward and redesigned to facilitate a new western arm providing access to the facility, along with new active travel infrastructures. A short section of the Tonabrocky stream will be realigned with installation of four new cross-drainage structures and the extension of one existing culvert. The scheme will further include two new pedestrian links to the south connecting the proposed development to existing footpaths located north of the Gaelic Football/Soccer pitch within Knocknacarra Community Centre. Additional works will comprise hard and soft landscaping, planting, lighting, boundary treatments, surface water drainage infrastructure, public lighting, CCTV, an ESB substation, and all associated and ancillary site works. A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) will be submitted to the Planning Authority with the planning application and the NIS will be available for inspection or purchase for a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy during office hours at the offices of the Planning Authority.
